[Trouveur]

I just finished the awesome Blooded Stinge of Barovia, and equiped Beautiful Strangler on Neera. I used Death Ward to protect her against the death effect.
But when back in Amn, as soon as I reload a game Neera is dead, while still keeping her items on her. 
Did I misunderstood how this item works? I tought the death effect only applied when equipping the item, not when already wearing it.

In theory, the equipped effect should apply once. IIRC, the character should die when using the necklace, but when resurrected, it should still be on, making this item usable by anyone but the main character.

Weird, seems like the initial effect is applied at each reload.
Main character could maybe equip it with a death ward spell cast before?

I don't know. I will need to check it but for now, I don't know why would it work that way. Will note to check it for the next version.
