Arszyk's Wonderful Decay is a companion mod and a quest mod, adding both these types of content to your Icewind Dale campaign. Arszyk is a neutral evil fighter/druid, a vampire that was sent to Icewind Dale to find a lost artifact, but meanwhile, got into some trouble and needs a hand if he's to resume his search. He comes with a few talks, interjections, items, a druid kit (Decay Overseer, included also in Of Paths and Ways kitpack, released by the same author).

While Arszyk may join your group during the exploration of the Vale of Shadows, the quest introduced by the mod starts in Chapter 5. It may be completed with or without the new character, so players that do not want to invite the vampire to their group may still enjoy some additional content. The quest will bring you back to the Vale and let you face a new enemy.

You may flirt with Arszyk, but the mod does not include a fully fledged romance.
