Altered requirements so any non-evil character, with a reputation of 14 or higher, can start the quest (provided Dorn isn't in the party).

Added a quick bounty quest you can pick up from Mercy Whitedove.

V1.9 breaks existing translations (since I've added a few more tra lines), and Mercy's lines aren't traified yet. Those playing with those translations are better off installing V1.3.2 until the full V2.0 release.

GemRB 0.9.5 released! (Riches beyond compare edition)

The GemRB team announces the availability of GemRB 0.9.5!

GemRB is a portable open-source implementation of Bioware’s Infinity Engine.

It features significant changes in several areas. The audio subsystem received many improvements and input handling was upgraded especially for users of controllers. The pathfinding performance was dramatically increased, some tests quantifying that as 13-161 % for short paths, 48-196 % for medium paths, 68-146 % for long paths. EE-like zoom is now available in all games, just set "Zoom Lock" to 0 in the gem-*.ini file in your game folder.

On the game support side of things this release brings many improvements for IWD2, now considered as polished as the other games, several fixes for PST and more work on compatibility with the EEs. Support for BG2EE is still experimental, but the Shadows of Amn portion is known to be completable. Our demo received a much nicer avatar and new asset creation capabilities were added (like animations not limited to 15 FPS).

Due to user feedback the SDL1 backend has not been deprecated, but provisionally updated. There is a wish to move to C++17 in the next release cycle. If this would negatively impact your platform, do let us know.

The marquee feature for this release is arguably that WeiDU-Linux no longer requires a case-insensitive file system, or tolower. I extend my thanks to dark0dave for providing crucial assistance in making this happen. However, not all mods can be installed on case-sensitive Linux at the moment. This notably include mods that make use of AT_NOW and related actions. The commands run by these actions need to be case-exact, to the extent they perform I/O, and without the EXACT keyword, WeiDU-Linux lower-cases the command. In my judgement, this is the best path forward, as EXACT exists for those who do not want their command lower-cased. If anyone wants to request a feature that would make allow them to drop their use of AT_NOW, and avoid these kinds of problems that way, feel free to do so.
