Lava,
Good evening. I'm a long time Infinity Engine game player, but I'm still very new to the world of IE modding. I decided to test out some of your kits on IWD:EE but ran into a few issues, two with the Roseblade Monk and one with the Honey-Sipper Paladin. I'm not sure if these issues would be specific only to IWD:EE or not, but I wanted to share them with you, just in case. I tested these kits without any other mods and in general, used the console to set the characters I created to max level for testing purposes.

Regarding the Roseblade Monk, I am unable to cast haste or improved haste upon them despite the description saying this should be allowed. The wilderness area bonuses also do not appear to be applying for me. Even when casting Barkskin, which should apply the bonuses outside of wilderness areas, I still unfortunately see no changes.

With the Honey-Sipper Paladin, the issue I am running into is with Pestering Bee. When cast once upon a target, it slows them as per the kit description. However, if I pick the same target two or three times, the opposite is happening. Instead of being slowed, they are gaining great amounts of speed. I tried testing this also on one of my other party members and they almost appeared to teleport around the map for the duration of the spell.

Here is hoping my issue report can be of some help to you. Thank you in advance for your help and time!

WEASELS! Summon Weasels (level 1 spell) CTDs in BG1

Hi there,

I'm pretty sure I've made a post (not a thread) before, but for some reason it's not showing up, so pardon any dual posting you may find

Long story short, I've installed the Weasels! mod in my BG1 and BG2 and, only on the first game, whenever I try to cast the spell, the game CTDs when the furry summons are about to show up.
I did some additional test and it went like this:

BG1: summons never work, be it with the arcane or the druid spell; the other level 1 spell for druids (weaselpaws?) works fine;
BG2: both spells work as intended.

I'd have tested a few more spells but, for some reason, couldn't give my characters additional experience with the console.

Also did some googling before posting here and it seems like none else has this problem. It also surprises me because, right now, my installation it's not complete, I've only UI, EEex, some soundsets and graphics improvements and was just starting to install new items/stores mods.

Since I can' attach files here, I decided to upload my weidu and a IE crash log on we transfer: it's on this link

Hopefully you have some insight or advice, I'd love to have these spells for an illusionist

TIA

QUICK EDIT: just to say that I tested the level 5 spell, Summon Astral (?) Weasel and it also crashed my BG1. Might be something related to the summons sprites, maybe?

This mod adds some new kits for your characters to pick. They may seem a bit more unusual than the vanilla options; however, they were created for my future runs. I am unsure if these will be used in a different way, such as part of an NPC mod, but I've decided to release them separately for now.

The current version of the mod includes 12 kits:

Arcane Trickster - a thief with a selection of arcane tricks, mostly from illusion spell school;

Divine Trickster - a thief with a selection of divine tricks, quite effective in fights against undead creatures;

Wilderness' Trickster - a thief with a druidic twist, as he may gain trickery allowing to cast a limited selection of druidic spells;

Arcane Chef - a bard that won't let your team starve, and instead shall provide magically created meals;

Fleshshaper - a bard that specializes in the evil art of shaping the flesh of both living and the dead;

Magivore-Infected - a sorcerer that gained special abilities as they were infected by mysterious magivore spores;

Honey-Sipper - a lightly-armored paladin that specializes in commanding bees, which may also produce honey when summoned;

Hallowed Reconnoitrer - a paladin that may wear up to medium armors, specialized in the art of reconnaissance and gathering information;

Rose Blade Monk - a monk that specializes in fighting katanas and scimitars and is attuned to nature;

Night Challenger - a ranger focused on roaming the roads during the night and throwing challenges at other adventurers;

Decay Overseer - a druid, master of death, decay and rot;

Lucky Tusks - a thief of half-orcish blood, that trifle with luck and is quite good at direct combat;

3-Foot-Tall Fury - a fighter of the halfling heritage, stronger than most of their kin, ready for all sorts of battles.

The Infinity Engine games always needed more weasels, right? That's why I've decided to create this mod. It introduces 5 weasel-themed items to BG:EE / BG2:EE / IWD:EE and also adds 4 new spells (1 arcane spell for mages / wizards / bards, 1 shared by both arcane and divine casters, and 2 divine spells for druids / shamans / rangers) which are available through both character creation and scrolls you may find during your adventures. Warning: Those who dislike weasels should should avoid this mod. Seriously, there are probably other interesting mods that suit you far more, and won't make your games smell of musk.

The mod allows players to tweak Viconia. The mod is divided into seperate components, each providing a change that may affect your experience with the character.

COMPONENTS:

a) Change Viconia's Class:
Dual-classed options: cleric/thief, cleric/assassin, cleric/shadowdancer (EE-only)
- Multi-classed options: cleric/thief, cleric/assassin, cleric/shadowdancer (EE-only)
- Cleric of Shar kits from Deities of Faerun or Faiths and Powers may be used (instead of thief kits), but this mod must be installed after any of those mods.
This component also changes her animation to that of an elven thief (hooded sprite) and adds Holy Symbol of Shar as well as a new 1st level cleric spell to Viconia's spellbook: Hand of Shar. It allows to increase a creature's thieving ability of choice for a short time.

b) Portraits for Viconia:
This component allows you to change Viconia's portrait. Picking one of those also changes her major and minor colors to make them match the new portrait. Existing portrait options:
- BG1 Viconia portrait for SoD, BG2, BGT, EET
- BG2 Viconia portrait for BG1, Tutu, BGT, EET
- SoD Viconia portrait for BG1, BG2, BGT, Tutu, EET
- Drowified BG1 Viconia portrait for any game (by Sanctifer with small tweak by Lava Del'Vortel)
- Recoloured BG2 Viconia portrait for all games
- Restored BG2 Demo Viconia portrait for all games in BG1 style and BG2 style (base found Parys, reworked by lolien, bob_veng and Lava Del'Vortel)

c) Add special ability: Embrace of Shar
This component gives Viconia a new innate ability - Embrace of Shar - that can turn party members invisible and blind nearby foes for a short duration.

d) Apply drow penalty: Day Blindness
This component adds a penalty for keeping Viconia in daylight. If outside during the day, she will receive a -2 penalty to dexterity and THAC0 as well as a -1 penalty to all saving throws. The penalty is dispelled during the night or at indoor areas.
